- Cycled or cycling tank using the fishless cycle
- Tub incase of emergency
- Dr Tim's Ammonia (Used for cycling)
- Water Conditioner (WITHOUT ALOE VERA!)
- A filter that can handle the bioload of your axolotl
- Liquid Test Kit
- Aquarium Thermometer
- Tank lid
- Earthworms
OPTIONAL:
- Substrate such as CaribSea, Exoterra Riverbed Sand, slate, or tile
- Aquarium plants (Make sure they have no snails!)
- Hikari Pellets
